Cantilever shelving is preferred for its superior strength and exceptional flexibility. The structural design consists of a one-piece, fully welded rigid steel frame that needs no cross-bracing. Shelf units allow "through" shelving for larger materials, but recommended backstops allow divider attachment. Units included standard flat shelves, uprights and a front base.
The 3/4"-thick steel shelves feature triple 90° bends on the front and rear. Shelves are attached to upright posts with 6"H shelf end brackets. Brackets have two attachment hooks and a safety lug to prevent the shelves from unhooking. Shelves adjust in 1" increments and fasten securely into shelf uprights. Fixed base shelves have a 3" front lip for a finished appearance. Both tops and shelves accept optional hanging wire dividers. Base supports provide lateral stability to upright frames.
Shelving units measure 36"W Single-faced units include an anchor wall attachment bracket. Double-faced units over 78"H should be anchored to the floor or overhead. Starter and add-on units make it easy to expand your shelving system as your collections grow. (You must begin with a starter, then select add-ons as needed). Construction: 18-gauge cold-rolled steel shelves and 14-gauge steel uprights with a mar-, fade-and chip-resistant powder-coat finish.
