Starters are 37-1/4"W and include 1"-thick end panels; add-ons are 36"W and attach to starters with 3/4"-thick intermediate panels. All units feature multi-ply veneer core panels with oak veneer surfaces and 3/8"-thick solid-oak edges, plus sturdy 3-1/4"H x 3/4" thick top fascias. Models measuring 60"H and smaller are available with a colorful high-pressure laminate top or a matching veneer top. The 18-gauge steel shelves with built-in book stops and baked-on, sandstone powder-coat finish adjusts in 1-1/4" increments (base shelves are fixed). Shelf ends are notched to accept hooded shelf pins, ensuring total stability under the heaviest loads. Optional back panels (sold on page 204) are captured on all edges, adding structural integrity.
