Characters with Character is a sensitive tool to help educators make teaching character values more conscious, systematic and creative. The content adds depth to values discussions and lessons through 10 chapters, each dedicated to a particular trait (responsibility, respect, caring, honesty, perseverance, courage, self-discipline, fairness, friendship and citizenship). Chapters start with examples of that trait in use and annotated bibliographies of more than 180 children‘s titles and other media that relate to that trait. Thought-provoking discussion starters and activities allow for further exploration, and reproducible worksheets reinforce the concepts.
